Budget proposals about Hebden Bridge Visitor Centre

Calderdale Council’s savings options include proposals to close or move Hebden Bridge Visitor Centre. Our view is that although making savings in tourism may be inevitable, the current proposals are unclear and do not make any sense. We are therefore asking for a pause and consultation with organisations involved in the local Visitor economy.

Below are a copy of the budget proposal and the HBWA response.

At the moment, most of our time is being spent on producing a new self guided walk leaflet (should be out by Easter) and launching the Heart of the Pennines initiative, so there are no live campaigns at present.
